Clinton, Mo. – (Sept. 11, 2019) – The Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) Wellness Committee will be hosting a lunch and learn presentation about breast cancer detection and prevention on Tuesday, October 1 at 12 p.m. in the Golden Valley Medical Plaza Classroom.
Dr. Stephanie Lersch, a family practice physician at GVMH, will be presenting to community members and GVMH employees about how to detect and prevent breast cancer.
“October is known as breast cancer awareness month and we are glad to provide this presentation opportunity for community members and employees to learn more about breast cancer detection and prevention,” said April Hart, corporate wellness coordinator at GVMH.
GVMH is a Show-Me Healthy Women provider, a program which offers free breast and cervical screenings for Missouri women who meet age, income and insurance guidelines. Information about the Show-Me Healthy Women program will be available during the lunch and learn presentation.
