Clinton, Mo. – (Sept. 5, 2019) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to announce that its Home Health Services received a five-star rating, on a one-to-five scale with five stars being the best, from the Medicare.gov Home Health Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS).
The HHCAHPS survey is designed to measure the experiences of people receiving home health care from Medicare-certified home health agencies. Assessment by HHCAHPS is conducted for home health agencies by approved survey vendors. Star ratings are used to compare home health agencies to one another regarding quality of care, services and patient experience.
“We are overjoyed to be recognized with a five-star rating for our Home Health Services by our patients,” said Rachel Boyles, executive director of home based and therapy services at GVMH. “Not only did our team receive a five-star rating, but we scored higher than the Missouri average and national average in every category on the survey. Only 11 percent of agencies nationally earn five stars. We would also like to thank our patients for taking time to participate in the survey and provide feedback as we are always looking for ways to improve.”
