Clinton, Mo. – (Oct. 7, 2019) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased announce that Aimee Oerke is the October staff member of the month.
Oerke has been an employee of GVMH since March 2018 and currently works as a registered dietitian in the Food and Nutrition Services department.
Coworkers who nominated Oerke had the following to say about her: “Whether caring for our inpatient or outpatient population, Aimee attends the daily huddle to represent our patients’ needs. She willingly covers when other staff members are ill. When seeing patients, she makes sure they understand and answers questions before concluding the visit.”
“Aimee strives to improve patient care and is committed to her customers and the community. She has adjusted her work hours so patients miss less work and she often travels to surrounding communities to see patients for their convenience. Aimee saw a need for diabetes support in the Windsor area and collaborated with others to find a location, day and time so she could offer her services to patients there.”
“Communication is important when interacting with physicians and coworkers. Aimee has worked with physicians to improve malnutrition documentation. She has achieved this by utilizing the daily huddle, making one-on-one visits to the physicians and entering notes in the patient chart. When new healthcare providers arrive at GVMH, Aimee educates them regarding the many services our department offers. She is an outstanding employee. GVMH is so very lucky to have her.”
In addition to being named staff member of the month, Oerke received a flower bouquet, a $100 gift certificate and her name will be engraved on a plaque to be permanently displayed in the hospital. Oerke is also one of 12 finalists for the 2019-2020 staff member of the year award.
