Clinton, Mo. – (March 14, 2020) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) has implemented a diversion of ambulance traffic temporarily to provide time to better evaluate its staff availability and resources to ensure the best treatment for its patients.
Out of an abundance of caution, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and GVMH are recommending that any staff who have had even incidental contact with the potentially positive patient self-quarantine for 14 days.
“GVMH will always err on the side of caution when it comes to keeping our patients, employees and community safe,” said Craig Thompson, chief executive officer at GVMH. “We believe a conservative approach is the best way to protect everyone while information about COVID-19 continues to evolve.”
