Clinton, Mo. – (Sept. 16, 2020) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is still offering curbside COVID-19 testing at its East Campus location in Clinton, as well as its Clinics in Warsaw and Windsor. To schedule an appointment for COVID-19 testing, contact your primary care provider or call 660.890.7300.
If you have any COVID symptoms, such as fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, contact your primary care provider for direction and request an appointment. If you do not have any symptoms, but think you might have had close contact with an infected person, you should quarantine for 14 days.
To help prevent the spread, the provider’s at GVMH encourage everyone to wash your hands often, avoid close contact with others and practice social distancing, wear a mask in public, cover your coughs and sneezes, clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily and monitor your health for potential symptoms.
“It is likely that flu viruses and the virus that causes COVID-19 will both spread this fall and winter, so we strongly recommend getting a flu vaccine,” said Meredith Cooper, Clinics Administrator at GVMH. “While getting a flu vaccine will not protect against COVID-19, there are many important benefits. Flu vaccines have been shown to reduce the risk of flu illness, hospitalization and death. Our team is ready to assist with COVID-19, the flu or any other healthcare concerns.”
To schedule an appointment for a flu shot at any GVMH location, contact your primary care provider or call 660.890.7300.
