Clinton, Mo. – (Feb. 3, 2021) – Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH) is pleased to announce that Melissa Hess is the February Staff Member of the Month.
Hess has been an employee of GVMH since November 1996 and currently works as the Call Center Associate Supervisor in the Food and Nutrition Services (FANS) Department.
Her nomination stated that Hess is committed to the FANS team and its customers. She is an excellent communicator and uses her eye for detail to ensure quality across the department. Hess works to ensure FANS systems are functional, keeps the café signage current and promptly sends out a weekly menu to staff each week. As a dedicated employee, Hess is always willing to come in early, stay late or work weekends and covers additional shifts, when needed, to ensure room service runs smoothly.
In addition to being named staff member of the month, Hess received a flower bouquet, a $100 gift certificate and her name will be engraved on a plaque to be permanently displayed in the hospital. Hess is also one of 12 finalists for the 2020-2021 staff member of the year award.
