Greg Shannon, chief human resources officer at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare (GVMH), oversees operations of the education, human resources, security and auxiliary departments. He also collaborates with department leaders to ensure consistent and ethical employment practices.
Prior to joining GVMH, Shannon served as director of human resources for Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Mo. In this role, he managed communications, compliance, education, employee health, human resources and security. He also worked as assistant administrator of support services at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish, Mont.
Shannon received a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Western Kentucky University and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in healthcare from William Woods University. He is a board member of the Missouri Healthcare Human Resource Administrators, as well as a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Henry County. He is also a past president of the Montana Healthcare Human Resource Administrators and past president of the Southern Illinois Healthcare Human Resource Administrators.
